President Bhandari’s belief that Nepal-US relations will be strengthened during President Widen’s tenure has sent a message of good wishes from the country’s top leadership to the newly elected United States leadership. President Vidyadevi Bhandari has congratulated Joseph Robinetti Widen on becoming the 46th President of the United States.
Stating that Nepal-US relations are good, President Bhandari in his congratulatory message to him today appreciated the assistance received from the United States for the socio-economic development of Nepal.
Expressing confidence that advanced and multifaceted Nepal-US relations would be further expanded and intensified during President Widen’s tenure, he wished the new leadership success in addressing the COVID-19 issue, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In the message, President Bhandari also wished success to the tenure of his US counterpart.
Similarly, Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun congratulated Kamal Devi Harris on her election as the first woman Vice President in the history of the United States. Vice President Pun praised the new US leadership for prioritizing issues such as gender equality, social justice and climate change.
