Rautahat. Large scale smuggling of liquor has been started from Belbichhuwa and Bramhapuri border points of Rautahat under the setting and involvement of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force. The liquor dealers were involved in the smuggling business with the help of local police chiefs of both the police stations.

Birendra Singh, Niraj Singh and Suresh Yadav are on the receiving end of the liquor smuggling line. They have been smuggling large quantities of Gelden OK, Kasturi and Savia brand liquor into India through motorcycles and vehicles.

According to the traders, the traders have been giving Rs 35,000 each to the chiefs of both the local police units. Similarly, it has been revealed that 15,000 rupees has been given to the armed police patrols.
